Parent Resources

The Thousand Oaks Police Department is dedicated to promoting and ensuring the safety, education, and welfare of all young people throughout the City. As parents, children's safety is a priority in all our homes. The crime prevention information provided offers practical tips to keep your children safe.

Parent Programs:

The Parent Project is offered through the City of Thousand Oaks Police Department. This program was created for parents with difficult or out-of-control adolescents. Parents learn and practice specific prevention and intervention strategies for destructive behaviors-truancy, alcohol and other drug use, gangs, occult practices, running away, violence, and suicide. More information is available on the official website for Parent Project.

Parent Project class will start:
April 4, 2013 through June 6, 2013 (10 week class on Thursdays 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
